Easy Ways to Clean Frost Off Car Windows Quickly

When you are running late for work in the morning, the last thing you want to see in your driveway is a car with frosted-over windows. Driving with ice on your windshield is unsafe, so it 's important you get the frost off your vehicle adequately before heading off. To help, we 've rounded up some of our top tips to make your winter mornings a snap.
  • Turn on the car
First things first, switch on the car and turn its defroster on. While it warms up, get to work on the ice by using an ice scraper to clear the windows. If you don 't have an ice scraper yet, an expired credit card will work.
  • Use the A/C
It may sound counterproductive, but putting the air conditioning on in your vehicle can help clear the windshield of fog. The A/C system pulls in dry air within the cab, meaning that there is a lower chance of your vehicle steaming up and blocking the windows.
  • Make a solution
If you can 't stand scraping, put together a simple solution of 2/3 cup rubbing alcohol and 1/3 cup water. Pour this mixture into a spray bottle and spray on your icy windows. The solution won 't freeze and can be stored easily in your car.
  • Use a cover
If you have no garage to store your car, opt for a car cover or a windshield tarp that protects your windshield when the winter arrives. Bear in mind this is not a bullet-profit method. Come morning, there may be a thin layer or ice on the windshield. We hope that these tips help you to clear your frosty windows during winter.
